Our recent Schools Group meeting was a powerful reminder that we aren't alone in this work. We explored diverse entry points for school climate action, from community gardens to addressing extreme heat through the Hot Classrooms, Cool Solutions campaign. We also dove into food waste reduction strategies and heard a candid, inspiring presentation from Claire Kraatz in Alberta about navigating the ups and downs of engaging with school councils to come back "bigger and bolder."
A major theme of our discussion was the importance of parent-led advocacy, whether you are navigating Parent Advisory Committees (PACs) or pushing for retrofits, the spirit of collaboration is what moves the needle. If you missed the session, you can catch the recording
