Honouring Our Volunteers

April 2026

April 19-25, 2026 is National Volunteer Week in Canada.

Volunteers are the lifeblood of the For Our Kids network. In communities across Canada, volunteer-led For Our Kids teams are organizing their neighbours, lobbying their elected officials, taking to the streets, and helping community members connect with the land. They are fighting for climate justice policies that will make schools, cities, and entire nations safer for all of our children. They are inspiring and cultivating hope across generations.

As a national support team, our feelings toward our volunteers go deeper than appreciation. We feel a fierce sense of love, solidarity, and interconnectedness that motivates our every decision.

Fighting for the planet is not easy work to take on, especially when you're not getting paid to do it. But it is vital. To everyone who has volunteered to be part of this movement: it is an honour to do the work alongside you.

We are committed to strengthening the network by bringing in more volunteers. Your support can make it happen. Consider becoming a monthly donor or making a one-time contribution today.
