For Our Grandchildren in Peterborough decided to tackle this dilemma by hosting a public forum with a green investment specialist. Over 70 people turned out to hear Tim Nash speak about options to move their money to more sustainable investments.
An interesting comment from Tim: a person's investment portfolio can represent the biggest part of their carbon emissions, bigger than their gas-powered car or flying.
But, there are options for investors such as Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) that screen out fossil fuels or else directly buying stocks in green companies through self-directed plans.
