Let's Charge Ahead for Electric School Buses

Wish your school used electric school buses?

Love the electric school buses that serve your community?

Record a video & tell us why!

For Our Kids and the Canadian Electric School Bus Alliance are collecting short-form videos from kids, families, bus drivers and other allies for a storytelling campaign. We’d especially like to hear about the health, climate, community, and economic benefits of electric school buses (ESBs) to your children and your community. Share your story and join the movement for a just school bus transition!

Submission Deadline: September 25, 2026 - please read below for submission guidelines and steps for submitting your video!

Win an Eco-Themed Book

All entries received by September 25, 2026 will be entered into a draw for some eco-themed books in the following categories: 1) Kids: 4-8 years old; 2) Kids: 9-13 years old; 3) Youth: 14-18 years old; and 4) parents/caregivers.

Storytelling Video Prompts

Need some prompts for sharing your story? Here are some suggestions:

  • If your school doesn’t already have an electric bus, tell us why they should and why provincial/federal governments should invest in ESBs.
  • Why do you want a clean ride for your kids? You could mention the health benefits of ESBs and the concerns with air pollution and climate impacts from diesel school buses.
  • How does your province rank on Canada’s Electric School Bus Report Card? See a snapshot of the provincial rankings or you can read the whole report - and let your province know they need to do better!
  • If your school or school board/district already has ESBs, tell us why you love them and how ESBs and cleaner rides to school positively impact you and your community. (cleaner air, healthier kids/families, climate action.
  • How do electric school buses and cleaner rides to school positively impact you and your community (cleaner air, healthier kids/families, equity, cost-savings)?

If you need more information on the benefits of ESBs for kids and communities, check out our resources here and here.
