Climate at School: Who to Talk to and What to Say Webinar Recording

May 2026

On May 12th, For Our Kids hosted a webinar with EcoSchools Canada and DoorNumberOne.org called Climate at Schools: Who to Talk to and What to Say to discuss how to navigate school systems, find internal champions, and push past institutional resistance. We also explored regional differences, like how to take action in Nova Scotia, where traditional school boards do not exist.

The conversation highlighted that school-based climate action belongs to everyone. Participants shared ideas on how homeschooling families can collaborate with local schools and school boards. We also focused on youth empowerment, discussing how to train interested students with the leadership and organizing skills they need to lead climate initiatives.
