On October 24, For Our Kids co-hosted a national webinar with the Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment (CAPE), the Canadian Lung Association’s BREATHE program, and Environmental Defense Fund to explore how methane from the oil and gas industry is harming our health, communities, and children’s futures and what we can do about it.
Our speakers highlighted how methane, a potent greenhouse gas, fuels both the climate and health crises but also how strong federal regulations could spark a new clean growth industry for Canada.
Speakers included Claire Kraatz (For Our Kids Alberta), Ari Pottens (Environmental Defense Fund), Tim Doty (former senior regulator for the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality), and Dr. Joe Vipond (CAPE). Together, they shared evidence, solutions, and a call for action to protect the air our kids breathe.
