Join parents with For Our Kids Vancouver and PACES Vancouver for an online dialogue with Vancouver School Board Trustee candidates about climate change and the use of generative AI in schools. Candidates from all parties have been invited to attend.
This event is an opportunity to hear directly from candidates about their perspectives on these important issues.
Event format
The 1 hour and 15 minute dialogue will include:

1-minute introduction from each participating candidate

2-minute responses to 3–4 questions provided to candidates in advance

1–2 questions from the audience
This event is intended to inform and engage. We will not rank candidates or their responses.

PACES Vancouver
PACES Vancouver is a group of parents with children in K–12 and other community members in Vancouver. We believe young people have the right to an education free from AI hype.
We share knowledge and solidarity with parents, students, teachers, and other school community members to defend young people's rights to human-centred education free from the integration of AI products.
Our petition calling for a two-year moratorium on the use of generative AI in BC schools has collected more than 2,300 signatures.
