Schools Group Meet-up February 2026

Are you a parent or caregiver ready to bring climate action to your child’s school community?
Join the For Our Kids Schools Working Group on Monday, February 16, at 7:00 pm ET for an evening of strategy, storytelling, and community building.
We are thrilled to welcome Claire Kraatz. Claire Kraatz is a dedicated parent organizer and core leader with For Our Kids Alberta. With years of experience in community advocacy, Claire has focused on bridging the gap between climate-concerned parents and Alberta’s education system. Her work has been instrumental in supporting parents to organize within the school councils’ association, advocating for climate-conscious policies and more resilient school infrastructure. She is a firm believer in the power of local, parent-led action to drive systemic change.
Claire has been at the forefront of school-based organizing, skillfully navigating the complexities of school council engagement and mobilizing parents to take a stand for a sustainable future. She will share lessons from the field, including practical insights on translating conversations into policy.
This is a space to ask questions, share your own school's challenges, and find a supportive network of parents doing the same work across the country.
