Richmond Nature Photo Walk
Get outside and capture nature from a kid’s eye view!
Watch your child connect with nature through a camera lens while learning their powers of observation and creativity.
During this free event we’ll break off into small groups of parents/caregivers, children and volunteers to explore Terra Nova Rural Park’s natural landscape. Children will use their own photo taking devices (phone/camera) to capture nature from their perspective as we walk the trails past diverse ecological natural environments.
Children will be asked to observe and capture what they see either through free exploration or through a guided photo scavenger hunt. At the end of the event, participants will gather for snacks and share their photography.
WHEN: February 7, 2026, 2-3:30 pm
WHERE: Terra Nova Rural Park at 2351 River Rd. The North side of River Road at the picnic tables near Adventure Playground.
BRING: Photo taking device (phone or camera of your choice). Snack/water bottle. Warm clothes and footwear.
