For Our Kids London

Are you worried about the world our children are growing up in? We are too. We're a new group of parents and grandparents in London, Ontario, coming together to take fun, meaningful action on climate change. Our goal is to make a real impact right here in our city, to help create the livable, safe, and healthy future our kids deserve.

London is a beautiful city with lots of access to nature. It is also facing many challenges when it comes to the environment: some that are global issues and some particular to London.

We’re just getting started on this incredible journey, and we would love for you to be a part of it from the very beginning. Our local leads, Naomi, Mike, and Ana, are excited to connect and brainstorm with you.

Our Current Initiatives:

  • Eco Franco Playgroups: These playgroups connect children to nature through French-language activities.
  • "The Families on the Bus Say..." Campaign: We are meeting with families in London to chat about the challenges they face in accessing public transit, with the goal of advocating to the city for better solutions.
  • World Car-Free Day is Monday, September 22. We plan to ride the bus with the public to get feedback on what would make the London bus system better. Then when we approach the city we will have some concrete ideas.

You don't need to be an expert to join our group—just bring your passion for your kids' and grandkids’ future.
