Add Your Voice For A Green & Just Recovery

Dear Prime Minister Trudeau, Mr. Scheer, Mr. Blanchet, Mr. Singh, and Ms. May:

I support efforts by the federal government to secure the health and well being of Canadians - especially the vulnerable - during the Covid-19 crisis.

At the same time, I support a green and just recovery for Canada where public resources are invested in addressing the climate crisis by creating new jobs while rapidly de-carbonizing our economy and society, while supporting workers through the transition.

Our kids and grandkids deserve our protection both from pandemics and from climate impacts. Let's invest in a world where they can thrive.

Like other countries, Canada is spending tens of billions to weather the impacts of Covid-19 and to recover.

Ensuring the health and economic security of the people of Canada - particularly the most vulnerable - must be the first priority for public spending.

At the same time, our kids still face the prospect of further crises driven by climate change unless we change course.

This is why our recovery must be a green and just one where public resources are directed towards creating new jobs while rapidly de-carbonizing our economy and society and supporting workers through the transition.
