This event has already taken place.

The BC Climate Emergency Campaign

The BC Climate Emergency Campaign is a collective effort of BC organizations. More than 310 diverse arts, business, community, environment, faith, health, Indigenous, labour, senior, and youth organizations have signed an open letter calling on the BC government to confront the climate emergency by implementing ten urgent climate actions.

Last summer was devastating for many British Columbians, marked by the June heat dome event and the loss of nearly 600 people, hundreds of wildfires leading to people losing their homes, days of smoke, and thousands of evacuations. This week we are experiencing flooding and landslides with major damage to our infrastructure. People now understand the emergency is here and now.

The BC Climate Emergency Campaign sets out 10 clear actions for the BC Government to put into policy. Come and join us to talk with Campaign Manager Mary Leighton to hear what these actions are, and how to use to them.

Tuesday 23rd November, 8pm.
