Fairy Creek Family Day in Support of Land Defenders

Please join Bill Jones, Fairy Creek Blockade, Parents 4 Climate, and Elders for Ancients for a celebration of our allyship and strength as we continue to fight to save the ancient forests and protect indigenous land rights.

We will gather at Salmon Camp on Saturday April 23 at 11am for songs, stories, and circle.  We’ll learn about the struggle to save the forests, listen to stories from indigenous knowledge keepers, and sing songs together. At 1pm, we will provide snacks and refreshments, and then people can either make their way to the old growth in Eden Grove to have their portraits taken and learn more about the Eden Grove Artists in Residence program, or head up to River Camp to help Green Party members and land defenders with an afternoon cleanup work party.

This is a great opportunity to spend time in the ancient forests with other folks who are fighting to protect the land. Let’s gather together in love and care as we garner strength and courage to continue our work, and help teach our children what it is we are hoping to protect, for all of their futures.
