Are the ongoing wildfires, water advisories, bad policy decisions, and government inaction leaving you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or furious? Do you find it hard to celebrate small wins when the weight of the climate crisis feels so heavy?
You are not alone. As climate organizers and caring community members, we often bear the brunt of these heavy emotions.
Join us at the For Our Kids Climate Café,a quiet, confidential, and supportive space to take stock of our feelings, process what we’re holding, and reckon with how we continue to move forward together.

What is a Climate Café?
As defined by the Climate Psychology Alliance of North America, a Climate Café is:
-
An informal, open, respectful, and confidential space to safely share emotional responses related to the climate emergency.
-
A space for exploring thoughts, feelings, and experiences, rather than focusing on what we are doing about the climate crisis.
-
A quiet, reflective haven from our usual busyness and activity.
-
Not designed to lead participants toward any specific conclusion or action (while actions can be discussed, reflection is paramount).
Note: Attending a Climate Café can help process climate-related emotions, but it is not a replacement for licensed counselling.
