This is an opportunity for community members of the North Shore to learn about local opportunities to get involved in nature/climate stewardship. We will also provide plenty of time for people to share thoughts, resources, ideas, questions, inspirations etc. about climate change so we can find ways to support each other or help people looking for ways to get involved.
For this first session on November 15th, Carolynne Robertson has offered to come and tell us about the North Shore Streamkeepers. Carolynne has stewarded Wagg Creek in the City of North Vancouver since 2020, and her current projects include water sampling, restoring riparian areas within Wagg Creek Park, and advocating for the large-scale adoption of green infrastructure. You can watch a short video about the project here.
So please join us at 7pm to learn more about the Streamkeepers, and stay on for the second half to tell us more about your own projects, ideas or questions.
