The Canadian government has finally released regulations for an emissions cap on the oil and gas sector. While we're happy to see progress on this crucial policy, the draft regulations are far from perfect. Plus, we're up against opposition from Big Oil and other opponents who are lobbying right now to get the regulations watered down or scrapped.
We're running out of time to implement this essential climate policy, which is why we need to push our government to strengthen and implement the regulations as soon as possible.

Let's tell our leaders that regular Canadians are counting on them to stand up to Big Oil and protect our families and communities from dangerous pollution and the increasing impacts of the climate crisis.
Without a strong emissions cap, the fossil fuel industry will never do its fair share to cut emissions, and continue to play an outsized role in driving the climate crisis -- while raking in profits and putting our kids' future at risk.
