BC Celebrates Funding for Over 200 Electric School Buses - A Win for Our Kids and the Climate!
We have fantastic news from British Columbia! Thanks to the incredible efforts of our network, the province has secured federal and provincial funding for over 200 new electric school buses. This is a major victory for clean air, student health, and climate action.
This success wouldn't have been possible without the dedication of approximately 123 parents in our network who wrote letters of support to their MPs, advocating for this crucial investment. We also want to acknowledge the invaluable support from the First Nation Education Steering Committee, whose letter added significant weight to the application.
A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to this amazing achievement.
Now, we need to keep the momentum going! We'll be working to ensure school boards follow through with the procurement of these electric buses.
